PREVENTING CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE
Smarter Adults – Safer Children
Thank you for your interest in the Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Kit. The Smarter Adults—Safer Children™ program includes awareness, education, and training programs designed to protect children from wrongdoing, negligence and accidents. The Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Kit is the first component of the Smarter Adults—Safer Children™ program. The Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Kit creates adult awareness on child sexual abuse and teaches adults how to prevent such abuse. The target audiences are employees, volunteers, and other caring adults.
The Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Kit addresses these important topics:
- What is child sexual abuse?
- The damage caused by child sexual abuse.
- The warning signs of child sexual abuse and of abusers. How to appropriately respond to suspected child sexual abuse.
- What caring adults can do to prevent child sexual abuse in their workplaces, homes, and communities.
In addition to the DVD, the Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Kit provides an Internet based complement called Agosnet.com. With a subscription to Agosnet.com you get the following:
- An individualized user ID and password to enter Agosnet.com
- Weekly employment practices information and risk management tools for your organization
- Periodic follow-up training bulletins, updates, and a library of articles and other resources for the protection of children
- As a subscriber you also have the ability to grant usage rights to Agosnet.com to other caring adults within your organization. This will also allow you to disseminate the SASC training via the Internet
